The Enchanted Hideaway and Hideaway Lodge are located on the eastern shore of Lake Whitney Texas, close to FM 1714 and the Katy Bridge, a few miles north of the town of Whitney. We are 40 miles north of Waco and 60 miles south of Dallas/Fort Worth. The properties are adjacent to Corps of Engineers property, about 100 yards from the water's edge. There is a foot trail and an unimproved road that go to a small cove on the main lake. A second cove, much larger, is on the other side of the street.
A small grocery with a meat market is less than 2 miles away, while two large grocery stores are located in Whitney. There is the usual abundance of convenience stores and fast food places, along with several good restaurants. Boat and jet ski rentals are available nearby, along with fishing guide services. In Hillsboro, 13 miles east of Whitney, is the Prime Outlet Mall, historic Courthouse, and downtown antique shops. To locate services, please click on the link below to Google Local.
