Conditions of Use of Pontoon Boat
- Boat is rented for a full day's use - 24 hours if wanted - and is to be
picked up from and returned to the cove. No refunds for late starts, early
returns, inclement weather (except for posted wind warnings), or
cancellations of less than 48 hours notice. This gives you the flexibility
to enjoy the boat without either of us needing to continually look at our watches.
We do not do partial day rentals.
- Boat may be rented for any day(s) of your stay, including day of departure.
- Renter/operator must be 21 years of age or older.
- Renter will receive boat with sufficient gasoline to get to marina. Renter is
responsible for purchasing additional gasoline for the day's usage. [NOTE:
Many places will rent you a boat with a full tank of gas and require you to
fill it upon return. We no longer do this, as it is impractical to require
tanks be filled at the end of your usage. The lake's marinas do not stay open late for purchasing
gasoline and do not have automated pumps. You will receive the boat with
adequate gas to get to the marina pump, and
you will be responsible for purchase of additional gasoline for your use during the day.
You will not be responsible for filling the tanks at the end of the
day. (But, please leave us enough to get it back to the
marina!!!)]

or cause, providing full to partial refund. This may be due to equipment
malfunction, unsafe operation of equipment, unsafe weather conditions, lack
of sobriety of the renter, or other reasons.
- Lake Whitney is a large lake with broad expanses. Storms and wind can
build quickly and rapidly, becoming extremely hazardous. Rental is
automatically cancelled when wind warnings are posted by NOAA.
Renter/operator will return boat to cove at such time.
- Lake Whitney is a variable level lake, depending on the water level
there will be submerged hazards. It is the operator's responsibility to know
current lake level and to avoid hazards. A lake map is provided with the
